A short documentary set in a remote rural town that initially appears serene, untouched, and almost dreamlike. Arriving from the heat of Queensland into the cold, crisp mountain air. The town feels as if it is separated from the rest of the world with the quiet streets and vast landscapes creating an immediate sense of calm and isolation.
As the story unfolds, that first impression slowly fades away as the reality of life in this sleepy town becomes more apparent. Beneath the surface of a seemingly peaceful community lie long-held tensions, buried truths and complicated personas.
The film explores real human stories marked by greed, hardship, mental health struggles, and systemic neglect against the stark contrast of expansive, serene mountain landscapes.
